HERE COME THE BOYS – Review Aldwych Theatre

HOT, SEXY, STUNNING, ENERGETIC AND A NIGHT FULL OF FUN!

A couple of nights ago the boys came to town in London. By the Boys i mean, Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez of Strictly Come Dancing fame and talent.

If you are a strictly fan this this show for you. Taking three of the most loved and most will say handsome male dancers and putting together a show to incorporate and blend all their specialties whilst making it fun, flowing and thoroughly enjoyable.

We were firstly introduced to the Beat Boxing skills of Ball-Zee who gave a masterclass of sound manipulation and imitation along with mime to start the show. He was also to be our DJ for the night.

Elizabeth Troy was also a great host and singer taking us through the show, encouraging the men (although it didn’t take much) and performing with great vocals to accompany the dances throughout. As well as looking as fabulous as the men did!

All three leading men came onto stage one by one dressed in a boxer gown – giving us a rocky style entrance proving to us they were looking to to cause a knockout success with this show tonight.

This show contained humour with all three bantering between eachother and Elizabeth. Each looking to prove that each one for different reasons was  better than the other.

Group Numbers combined along with impressive solos gave this show a great mix. The energy and passion started the show and continued non stop until the end. This was a full on continuous night full of fun.

Dance battles ensued between the three and we got to see the best in their respective categories come out the winner, however all were skillful and full on impressive as well as each taking us through their choice of pop legends treating us to some lovely dances fast and slow. Stand out from these were Purple Rain and Thinking out loud – but i’ll let you see the show to see who dances them and why they are so fantastic.

All three men bared their chests throughout and certainly raised the temperature in this theatre for everyone, cheeky banter helped to transition scenes and dances and showed that they genuinely are best friends.  Of course the dance is at the heart of the show and this is still central..amazing footwork, pulls and lifts brought the audience on a roller coaster of emotion dependent on the pace of the dance. Aljaz, Giovanni and Gorka are the stars of the show but wouldn’t also be able to do it with the stunning cast of accompanying dancers who star equally in the show.

Here Come The Boys was near perfect for me and i loved it much more than i expected. It is for everyone. Men, Women, Strictly fans and not – this show is purely entertaining from start to finish. HOT, SEXY, STUNNING, ENERGETIC AND A NIGHT FULL OF FUN is what you will have if you attend in its remaining performances.
